I want to thank all of you who keep signing my guestbook even though I'm notorious for deleting comments and reposting them on privacy mode.
If you want to read samples of my poems from the book, click on the blue tag that says: "heartbeat poetry" or "poetry" ...While waiting for the book tours to end, you may all bid the book/file a request for HEARTBEAT CITY: Prometry by Sheryl S. Raros 2000-2007 (ANT MPS) at your favorite local bookstore.
The word Prometry did not exist as a literary term until October 1999. I coined it from Prose + Poetry = Prometry and the word first appears at the back cover of my 1st book RED COFFEE: A Collection of Romantic Poetry 1992-1999 (Giraffe Books). Then, the term reappears in my 2nd book (copyright 2005) first released on December 2007. It was then launched at UPLB on January 17, 2008 and its first book tour was at UPD on February 29, 2008. You're the first King Crimson fan I've met in the Philippines. Nice to meet you, too.
Baka magustuhan mo rin ito. Medyo bagito pa at sophomoric compared to the sophistication of King Crimson. Di rin naman kasi Electric Prog. It's rock but not pop-rock. Mga kids pa sila but I like the lyrics and the raw innocence of their rock.
so u luv king crimson? im a huge fan of king crimson since 80's.. cool!! Eclectic Prog.... 8s nice to be different in muzic.. this the first tym - a gurl dig king crimson muzic!!! u shud listen to their CONSTRUKCTION OF LIGHT, THRAK, A THREE OF PERFECT PAIR, POWER TO BELIEVE cds.. so out of this world prog rock... i salute ya!!! were only few on this planet who dig this band... KJing Crimson Rulez!!!
Hi dear. Thanks for your message. I'll be in LB in December (probably for a week before I go home to Bikol). Medyo busy din. I'm preparing for two oral exams this year. You take care too. And thanks for reviving the UPLB account.:)
Good luck on your oral exams. You'll ace it, that's for sure. LB kid ka eh. LOL!
As for reviving the UPLB account, you're welcome pero I passed the administratorship to a few capable hands as yourself and a few others. Di rin kasi ako madalas mag-online and the group needs administrators to delete repetetive posts by blog sellers who for some reason wont use our market-market/banketa portion. Di naman sila pinagbabawal magbenta ilagay lang sana dun sa tamang lugar. Kung saan-saan nlang nilalagay ang iba. As one of the administrators, Gene, may karapatan ka to delete posts but it's also up to you if your tolerance level is high. Ang ginagawa ng isang administrator, nagpapadala ng personal message to the seller to transfer. Kapag pasaway, dinedelete nalang niya. Take care in Singapore! =.)

wat makes turning 30 in relation to havin a name change, or in tis case shortened ? Haha wats wrong!!?? I prefer Sheryl as it is...
30 is the new 20 nowadays. For me, turning 30 was an opportunity to reformat the old impressions. So, the relation between turning 30 and the new nickname is more of an emancipation from the old impressions that are stereotypical enough to prevent those closest to you from actually seeing the changes that are taking place. Changing one's nickname will call this to attention. It's just like saying, "Hey, I am ME no matter what you say and think I should be."
I don't know if you've gone through this, but I've noticed that it's the people who are closest to you who won't welcome those changes because they want you to stay as you are. Unfortunately, things change. People change. Nothing stays the same. It isn't human error. It's human nature.
P.S. I don't think I've ever really liked my given name "Sheryl" but it sort of stuck since there's not much one can do about a given name, is there? LOL!
Going through some major changes. I suppose it's because I turned 30. I decided yesterday (Mother's Day, at that) to give birth to a new me. Call me Ryl from now on. And how should I call you? =.)
